This is almost certainly the Mobbs and Lewis iron foundry which was located on the corner of Carrington St & Victory St. Mobbs and Lewis manufactured lasts for boot and shoe making.I believe making of the cast iron lasts finished in the late 1920's at this site.The main factory being on the south side carried on until more recent times. Being recently demolished and redeveloped.

I think this image is inverted, ie is a mirror image of the original picture. My evidence for this is that most of the operatives in the image appear to be left-handed, and the man in the right foreground seems to have his trousers and shirt buttoned up 'the wrong way'. The setting might be more recognisable if the image is inverted left/right.
