I recall this building as the billiard hall in the late 50's and early 60's.Probably housing about 20 billiard tables it was the meeting place for teddy boys amongst others. A table could be hired for 6d. per hour with cues thrown in. If you were really cool you would take your own cue. Coke was available for 6d. a bottle from the kiosk. An upstairs room for billiards was also available but I believe the hire of a table upstairs was 9d.per hour. Possibly for the elite teddy boys. From what I recall no girls were allowed.
